Learning to Dive |
While diving is a low risk adventure activity, things can go wrong. The PADI Rescue Diver course is designed to help you recognize the components that can lead to an accident, thus allowing them to prevent their occurrence. While the emphasis is on recognition and prevention, the program also will also introduce you to the methods used to deal with worst case scenarios should they occur.
Your PADI Rescue diver program will consist of two classroom sessions. Video presentations will help you to visualize rescue methods that work. At the end of your academic development you'll be required to pass an exam. Of course you'll complete reading assignments and knowledge reviews in the comfort of your own home.
During the open water training sessions you'll be introduced to a variety of rescue scenarios. You and your classmates will work as a team to successfully handle the problems. Unlike other certification courses, the open water training portion is not an evaluation of your skills. These sessions are designed to be a learning experience, giving you and your friends an opportunity to put your newly acquired knowledge to work. While the subject matter is serious, your PADI instructor will make every effort to insure your in water work is as much fun as it is informative!
