Links to Boating and USCG Captain Licensing Study Resources

Boating and scuba diving share a relationship similar to cake and ice cream. While you might be able to enjoy one without the other there's something extra special about the combination. Divers use boats to reach dive sites that would otherwise be untouchable or to conduct searches to find that elusive never before dived location.

Many divers use private boats rather than charter vessels to pursue the sport. The following links are provided as a resource to improve boating safety. If you don't own a boat but sometimes share a ride on someone else's, it's a good idea to have at least a general understanding of boating rules and procedures. Even if you're not a boater, you might be curious about what all those lights, buoys and horns mean.

You may also have dreamed of becoming a charterboat captain and living a carefree life revolving around diving. If you're actively pursuing a USCG Captain's license, these sights will help you in your studies. If you're only toying with the idea, you can discover some of what's involved in the testing process right here.

Whatever your reasons, we hope you find the following links useful.
